About us

We're a small team. We like that about us.

The Paw Booker started because we kept seeing the same thing: groomers doing brilliant work with dogs and losing time and money to admin that should have been sorted years ago. We decided to do something about it.

How this started

We come from a marketing background. We have spent years helping small businesses get more from the tools available to them, and when we started looking into the dog grooming industry properly, we kept running into the same problem everywhere we looked.

Groomers were losing appointments to no-shows, missing enquiries while their hands were full, and watching clients quietly drift away because nobody followed up. The admin was eating into their evenings. And when they went looking for help, the picture was not much better.

The tools existed. They just were not built for this.

The software on offer was either designed for hair salons with no real thought given to how a grooming business actually runs, or it cost so much that a solo groomer simply could not justify it. Dynamic pricing based on breed and coat type. Booking flows that understand temperament. Rebooking cycles that match how often different dogs actually need grooming. None of it was there.

There was nothing in the middle. Nothing built specifically for this industry, at a price that made sense, that someone who just wanted to get on with the job could actually use without a headache.

So we talked to groomers first. Then we built.

What makes us different

We spent time speaking with real groomers before a single line of code was written. We asked what actually costs them money, what keeps them up at night, and what they would fix first if they could. The answers shaped everything about how The Paw Booker works.

Most platforms bolt dog grooming on as an afterthought. The pricing structures do not reflect how groomers charge. The automations are written for nail bars and coffee shops. The onboarding assumes you have an IT person to call.

We built around how a grooming salon actually runs. Not how a software company assumed it would.

The result is a system that fits your business rather than asking your business to fit around it. And because we are a small team working with a focused niche, when something does not work the way it should, we hear about it quickly and we fix it.

How we work

A few things we won't do.

We have seen what bad software relationships look like. Here is what we promised ourselves we would never become.

No. 01

We don't do hard sells

The demo is a conversation, not a pitch. If The Paw Booker is not the right fit for your salon, we will tell you. We would genuinely rather you stay on a paper diary and think well of us than sign up and regret it three weeks later.

No. 02

We don't make you feel daft

If something is confusing, that is our fault, not yours. We will fix it or walk you through it without the patronising tone. There is no such thing as a stupid question when you are learning a new system.

No. 03

We don't charge for things you won't use

We looked at what grooming businesses actually need and built around that. You are not paying for loyalty point systems, AI chat widgets or features borrowed from a completely different industry. Just the things that actually help.

No. 04

We don't hide behind bots

When you email us, a real person reads it. Usually the same person every time. We are not building a labyrinth of help articles to stop you reaching us. We are just on the other end of an email.

No. 05

We don't lock you in

Three months minimum so there is time to actually see results. After that, month to month. Your client data is yours and you can take it with you any time. We want you to stay because it is working, not because leaving feels like too much hassle.

No. 06

We don't assume we know your job

We know marketing and software. You know grooming. We listen before we build, and if a groomer tells us something does not work the way we assumed, we change it. That is how this platform got to where it is.

What you can expect

A few things that matter to us.

~10 days

From saying yes to being fully live. We handle the setup, the website, the automations and the handover. You just show up for the call at the end.
